Who We Support

Memphis Civitan over the past 16 years with the help of its 5K Run participants and sponsors has distributed thousands of dollars to local charities such as:

Special Kids & Families

Special Kids and Families is a non-profit organization that provides family-centered programs and services that address the unique abilities and challenges of young children with special needs.

Harwood Center
Harwood Center strives to enable children with special developmental needs to reach their full potential by achieving and demonstrating more positive development in cognitive, social, language, motor and self-help skills.

Special Olympics Greater Memphis

The ultimate goal of Special Olympics is to help persons with intellectual disabilities participate as productive and respected members of society at large by offering them a fair opportunity to develop and demonstrate their skills and talents through sports training and competition and by increasing the public’s awareness of their capabilities and needs.

The mission at Livitup, Inc is to advance the independence and productivity of children and adults with various types of disabilities. The money raised through the Elvis 5k helps support Camp Livitup and other programs we offer in the community.

Madonna Learning Center

Madonna Learning Center is a private, independent school for children with disabilities. The students range in age from 5 to 30 years. Approximately fifty five children and adult trainees each year are enrolled in our school and adult program where educational services are individualized to maximize strengths and address challenges. Madonna Learning Center provides a faith-based environment where children and young adults with special needs are educated to reach their full potential. The Vision of Madonna Learning Center is to enable children and young adults with special needs to enjoy a productive and satisfying quality of life.

Porter Leath Foster Grandparents

Since our founding as an orphanage in 1850, Porter-Leath has provided a safe, nurturing home for children. Due to lack of need for orphanages in the US during the 1950s and 1960s, Porter-Leath transitioned to foster care and still provides great homes for at-risk children. Each year, Porter-Leath Foster Care provides homes to over 100 youth in Shelby County.

West Tennessee Family Solutions

West Tennessee Family Solutions exists to provide the highest quality of support and opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities to lead successful and satisfying lives within their community.
